Our Story
Namibia Traveler was built from a simple frustration: most travel guides about Namibia are written by visitors who spent two weeks here and left. They miss the nuance โ the best restcamp waterholes for late-night rhino sightings, which gravel roads flood in April, where to buy provisions in Windhoek before a self-drive trip, and why the shoulder season is actually the smart traveller's choice.
I've lived and worked in Windhoek for years. Namibia is my backyard โ the dunes of Sossusvlei, the vast emptiness of the Skeleton Coast, Etosha's famous floodlit waterholes at night. I've driven the C14 through the Gamsberg Pass. I know which lodges are worth the price and which aren't. That's the knowledge this site is built on.
Namibia Traveler is an independent travel guide covering everything from luxury fly-in safaris to budget self-drive itineraries on a shoestring. Our guides are practical, honest, and built around one goal: helping you plan the best possible Namibia trip.
